Further more do you know how difficult it is to get a council property? Have you ever been through that process of know anyone that has? Unless you have young children or are pregnant your gonna be on a waiting list that will take months and months even years before your given a council property. You don't just opt out of work, sign up for JSA and get accommodation it doesn't work like that, council house are very difficult to get, you need some hardships and a sob story good enough to get you to the x factor live shows for you to get a council property just like that.
And also you need to show proof of you actively looking for work otherwise they will cut your JSA.

well, i been had a council property since 18 years old. all my cousins and boys have their own housing some social housing and some direct government housing.
JSA or ESA recipients still have other perks, and most are on universal credit and PIP which is like a 1000 a month more or less (with no rent being paid)
all the kids know this, and the ends is packed with people in sportwear outside the betting shop on a tuesday afternoon.
its a decent living.
+ it takes about 4 to 5 years to get a council property if you are signing on its even quicker. how is that not an incentive to stay on government cheese lol.
