The big sky stuff is vastly more isolated than Maine, NH, Vermont tho.....the Northeast rural states are still relatively close/ day trip in a car to a big city like Montreal, Toronto, Boston, NYC etc.

People who live in the Dakotas and Montana are out doorsy and hunt, fish, ski, dirt and mountain bike,ride horses etc

Exactly. They have some of the most beautiful landscapes if you are into nature. I went hiking, 4wheeling, rode horses, fishing and kayaking all out in the wilderness. It was dope. No diversity at all but that shouldn’t be expected.
