From a business standpoint, it's a great move since streaming seems to be the future. After Last.fm stopped streaming, I haven't been able to find a source that matches my tastes, so I'll pass. :manny:

Apple has the power to goon this shyt out of the game with ease. I definitely don't see them standing pat.

Then you still have Skynet Aka Google with the :patrice:
yup. gonna be interesting to see if they offer artists anymore than the standard amount they get now per stream. also, what their price point is. like, they could put something in to their cloud tier pricing or if you pre-order ios devices you get a discounted rate. theyve got the inside track to murder this...if they choose too. at the very least, this deal has likely made companies reevaluate their new programs. maybe bump up a featured perk they would have sprung on v.2.0 up to launch.

im old school though. i like my music on my device for worst case scenarios when im on a plane or off a network. other than that free pandora is cool. but, i get this isnt for me.

You are able to play all of these songs offline. You just have to download them onto your device. The catch is that they will only play in the app usually. So this is for you, unless you're anti the monthly payment. I have enough monthly payments right now, maybe if I get a dope set of headphones I'll think about it. They also mentioned partnering with Sprint. That should be interesting.

Is this a serious post?

mostly.

the thought of having a device that can only be synched to a single computer and will fukk up and crash every few months feels so outdated after using google play music the past 3 yrs. a simple drag and drop in chrome from any pc i'm on and being able to access my music via my phone, any desktop, tablet, play it through chromecast etc :ahh:
