i was just curious to hear about everyone's opinion on one of the most famous archetypes in wrestling, the chickenshyt heel.

for the sake of this thread i will define a chickenshyt heel as any heel wrestler who displays cowardice or wimpiness inside of the ring in spite of their bravado outside of it.... i.e. ric flair getting down on his knees and begging for mercy or rick rude almost screaming for his mommy because jake has him in a wrist lock.

1. who is your favorite chickenshyt heel and why?

2. how do you compare chickenshyt heels to other types of heels? are you a fan?

3. can you think of an instance throughout history where you thought someone was wrongfully MISCAST as a chickenshyt heel?

4. in what ways do you believe the face benefits from going up against a chickenshyt heel? in what ways might they suffer?

weigh in brehs.

I don't mind chicken shyt heels but the problem is that not every heel needs to be the chicken shyt heel which has been a problem of WWE cause damn near every heel champion in the past 10 years has been a chicken shyt... except Brock Lesnar. He's a beast and he don't run cause he don't have to, Lashley during Negrolution's run was the same way.

1. who is your favorite chickenshyt heel and why? Ric Flair because he made being a chicken shyt a spectacle and funny

2. how do you compare chickenshyt heels to other types of heels? are you a fan? Not really, chicken shyt heels should be rare and only fit the gimmick if the wrestler can make himself stand out from others... look at Ric Flair for example.

3. can you think of an instance throughout history where you thought someone was wrongfully MISCAST as a chickenshyt heel? Sheamus is the biggest mistake of a chicken shyt heel. Again we use the same example of when he first won the WWE Championship as a heel he was dominant... but when the Nexus rolled around he was constantly fleeing the scene or making deals of them not whooping his ass if he don't interfere or when they had him like ":merchant::whoa:CEEEEENNNNNAAAAAAA! WHERE"S CEEENNNNAAA! HELP ME CEEENNNAAA!!" that was just plain horrible.

Young Skywalker is putting on for this generation as a great chickenshyt heel

I'm a fan in short doses, the less on the roster the better. Every champion or heel looking like a p*ssy isn't entertaining.

Like JBL, imo he's too big to be a chickenshyt but that was him for an entire year.

1. Tully Blanchard. It's extremely telling when Shawn Michaels said Tully was his favorite horseman.

2. I'm a fan but nowadays it's hard to distinguish between that type of heel and a weak one.

3. I feel like Randy Orton being cast as that during his last run was a bad idea.

4. They benefit because it's so easy to get the crowd's adoration versus them.

They're good in the midcard, to beat scrubs, hold midcard titles, get the fans invested in stuff before the main event, and put over upcoming main event stars. Miz is great at this actually. The problem is making this kind of heel a top guy in 2015.
