I think the problem is some of us spend less time on the internet and when we first heard the term 'SJW' we generalized the term as coming from internet culture. Those who spend more time online and know more about the online world than myself know and can pinpoint it is an alt-right internet culture thing. Color me newly educated. But you guys letting your blood boil over this and labeling anyone who uses it as white supremacists need to realize it's over, it has been normalized. My only social media activity is on here and on IG. I don't visit other message boards, I'm not on Twitter and I stopped using facebook years ago other than talking to relatives who live far from me. So for me to come across this term and find out what it means it's fukkin' mainstream now and the context I learned about is people being overly concerned with small social justice issues. I never saw it applied to real advocates and people fighting real social ills on and off the net. That is also news to me. But you experts are just in a bubble that has actually expired and you sound crazy. People from all walks of life use it both positively and negatively. See Colin Kaepernick calling Eric Reid an SJW as a compliment.
So really, Learn something new. The term isn't restricted to the far alt-right spaces of the internet any longer.
