From there, either she's gonna say yes or no. I would make modifications on this based on how im feeling.
I used to grab so many numbers back in the day simply by being fearless enough to walk up and ask. Nowadays I would look for choosing signals and that definitely slows me down.

I have a close friend that is the very social and talkative, even to men, strangers, bartenders, he talks to fukking everyone.
He also gets more numbers than anyone I know, but here's the catch, he NEVER follows up, or sees any of them again. it's like 9.5/10 he will never see them again. He just gets the number. Usually calls when he's drunk at 3:00 AM, and no one ever answers, predictably. it's hilarious in some ways.
getting someones' number is one thing, but making a meaningful impression is another, and following up is probably hardest, because that's where most rejection or delayed acceptance comes in.

I just say hello in a playful mood. If she responds with anything other than a smile, i leave her alone. I think it works pretty well for me.
