I have a close friend that is the very social and talkative, even to men, strangers, bartenders, he talks to fukking everyone.

He also gets more numbers than anyone I know, but here's the catch, he NEVER follows up, or sees any of them again. it's like 9.5/10 he will never see them again. He just gets the number. Usually calls when he's drunk at 3:00 AM, and no one ever answers, predictably. it's hilarious in some ways.

getting someones' number is one thing, but making a meaningful impression is another, and following up is probably hardest, because that's where most rejection or delayed acceptance comes in.

First i ask for consent to look at her. Then i look. Then i ask for consent to speak to her. Then i thank her for the opportunity and ask her how she's doing. I tell her my name and tell her how beautiful she is. Tell her i would like to take her on a date when she's free and how she won't regret it. In my internal dialogue, I'm praying we pass by a puddle so i can lay my jacket over.

If she's walking toward you and avoids eye contact, you want to wait until she passes you slightly, then trip her.

Let her know it was intentional. Then tell her only a real man would be that honest and forthcoming.

Inform her that if she was your woman, her knee scrapes would be covered by your company provided insurance.

Invite her to discuss further benefits of being with you, like your Costco travel membership, over a dutch lunch because you don't want to pay for a meal you can't choose.

I promise this has worked EVERYTIME I've used it.

great post. exactly, sums it all up. A lot of people, just look for that temporary high of meeting someone and flirting, plus trying to take someone home that night. I would rather meep up one on one, so there's more clarity and intention about what we are doing, rather than these long drawn out processes, bar to club, to after party, to someones house at 3:00 AM.
