My moms always used to listen to rap back when I was a kid so I loved this shyt for a long as I can remember. :mjcry:

When I think back in my mind as far as I could of a legitimate hip hop memory, it'd have to be me being 4 years old in 1987 and watching the LL Cool J - I'm Bad video. :whoo:

I never seen nothing so cool before in my short lifetime.:wow:

I remember i was around 5 yrs old and we had to draw pictures of things we liked and bring it to school the next day, so im at the crib thinkin of what to draw, and my older brother was playin that song "fly girl"(by the boogie boys) loud as hell, so i decided to draw some hiphop shyt with people dancing to that song thinkin imma be cool or whatever, so i take my lil pic to school to show the teacher and he just looked at it like :francis: ........and said "fly gril? Whats that?" But he was really being a smart ass cuz he knew i spelled girl wrong, smh

The rapping on BBD's Poison or MC Hammer's Can't Touch This.

Before that, it was all MJ and the 70s/80s.

probably the early 80s stuff like Grandmaster Flash The Message, and Lodi Dodi and i just remember RUn DMC, Fat Boys, beat boxin, and break dancing being a big deal

Thank god i had a chance to experience that early HH scene, it'll never be as raw at that again :wow:

Another time we all went to Sears and I was going to cop the new Green Jello and Tool single. My uncle was like dude:mjpls:....you need some of these in your life. He put out Wreckx N Effect, LL Cool J, and Fresh Prince singles :smugdraper:.
