Thats why I just when I hear politicians always was talking about the Middle Class but yet they never really define who they are.

I'm a college student so my time is spent between home during the summer and breaks and my apartment through the rest of the year

My dad earns ~200k a year as a nuclear engineer and has a big house in the burbs

my apartment otoh has roaches, rats, busted shyt everywhere, immigrant families with 18 kids, upstairs apartment is likely a trap house, and people getting shot outside

IMO upper class is about more than money (at least in Philly)... It's a social standing... Charities, certain organizations and country clubs etc... Not really interested in that stuff
