shyt gonna look like a white laser light bout to hit ur ass :dead:

now that I think about it this car is probably so advanced it probably has some crazy emergency braking system or something. My base level Volkswagen Golf breaks on its own sometimes

No dude this isn’t star wars. Germans just dont fukk around on the autobahn. Police will also ticket you for driving too slow, its an absolute hazard.

Probably, much better drivers over there.

I used to live over there many years (dad was in army) then went back as an adult, rented a Mercedes. The day I took the Autobahn it was raining and I was going a little over 100 MPH in the left lane for a little bit, cars were going much faster and I went over to the right and stayed there.

Some differences:
I think cars are much better overall.

The autobahn is much smoother.

It's much harder to get a license over there. "The German driving licence can be obtained after finishing driving school and passing both a theory and a practical examination. In order to apply for a driving license, it is necessary to show proof of an eye exam as well as a first aid course consisting of 9 units of each 45 minutes"

I think you have to be 18 to drive unsupervised.

Drivers are better. Everybody knows slow drivers should move over to the right, they actually do it over there. The day I drove there was an accident ahead and everybody was kind of swerving to the left and right to notify people behind.

Not sure if this has any impact but a teacher told me it's a bit different in regards to alcohol and driving. She said in the states you learn how to drive (15/16 years old) before you learn how to drink (21 legal age, even tho most start earlier). In Europe you learn how to handle your liquor (can drink in high school/earlier) before you learn to drive (18). I'm guessing less alcohol related incidents with driving over there.
what's the drinking culture like over there?

North American youth tend to celebrate binge drinking. is responsible drinking more of the thing to do out there VS the party culture here?

Not sure too much about the drinking culture, last lived there when I was in 10th grade, went back once. I do know drinking age is 16 vs. 21. I remember my hs yearbooks over there had pics of kids drinking, beer cans stacked up, something you would never see over here. In middle school I could buy beer at the Volksfest (carnival) and nobody asked for id, kind of the same with adult magazines and such. There was a German bar that catered to the American kids, drinking all the time. Bit more freer over there. Topless women at the river wasn't a big deal.

Forgot to add about the driving on the autobahn. If you watch the video, one thing you won't see are big billboards/advertising. You'll see those little blue signs that might have a gas or food symbol, exit signs, but you don't see advertising. It's one of the first things I noticed when moving back to the states after living over there for years. Just how much advertising, signs are around. You get used to it if you see it all the time but next time you're driving around, take a good look.

Speed enthusiasts are so dumb to me.

I know we all like and enjoy different things but when your idea of a good time is a cheap thrill that can put peoples life in danger in a SECOND then I don’t respect your enjoyment.
