so in otherwords: rappers that have classic records that span all facets of hip hop CAN'T be considered GOATs.

a simple yes or no fam. all the joking and buckdancing for daps is not necessary.
:dahell:
Now you just making shyt up?
When did I come even remotely close to saying that?

I think it's a combination of two things, one his shift in tone after Lethal Injection going for the most part straight to gangsta rap/hardcore hip rock was jarring and alienated fans then switching it up to mediocre club bangers, there is a lack of consistency, but his 1st 4 albums have cemented him in the top 10.

Westside Connection and Lench Mob got classic albums now?

I might as well say "yo that Firm album was a classic." :camby:

Those albums are just aight, I actually liked Raw Footage. None of them shyts is better than Nas' second tier of albums. So you gonna tell me Raw Footage is a better album than God's Son? Like, you really think The Predator is a better album than Stillmatic. All that shyt is forgettable nobody talks about any Cube album post-Lethal Injection.

Bu bu Cube is a different type of MC. Stop it he couldn't rhyme like Nas, Jay, Pac, Biggie and a lot of other nikkas who get thrown in the convo, his shyt was basic scheme, word play, and vocab wise and I acknowledged his strengths and that's that. Chuck D wasn't better than G Rap and Cube ain't better than Nas. But bu Cube would eat Nas on the mic yet this nikka got ethered by Common.

Illmatic doesn't do it for YOU, it sure did it for all the other rappers who studied it and name it as one of their favorite albums as well as millions of hip hop fans. How you listen to a record like One Love or It Ain't Hard To Tell and say it lacks soul is beyond me.

The fact u comparing the wack azz Firm with those group albums just say u not fit to have this discussion....you have a bias against non super lyrical shyt, and eat up anything lyrical myrical:mjlol:...personally I don't think u even listen to Cube....and he'll yeah,if not better is at good as Godson...and dns I'm being generous cuz I'm one of the few who dug Godson....but what about the other albums Nas dropped like SD,Nastradamus,I Am,Hip hop Is Dead,******....what has Nas done other than not have a movie company, that keeps him busy from dropping a bunch of subpar azz albums:mjlol:?

And fukk what backpackers say about Illmatic,it's goofy backpackers and lyrical miracle fans that hold it in high esteem....you wanna disrespect Cubes albums that millions of nikkas actually loved, bought, and praised in REAL TIME....for Nas albums that flopped, and got panned in real time like It Was Written:laff:?yall nikkas got a lot of nerve man, fukk Illmatic...you can't respect Cubes work just because YOU don't think Cube is good lyrically:comeon:,but want me to put sum Respect on Illmatic?nah,I don't like it like that either, production is lacking:sas1:....and I'm not being petty I've established this opinion for a while...and was saying I liked It Was Written better, long before u Nas stans just recently started going on a damn campaign to give Nas another classic:scust:..end of the day Cubes classics is better than non classics, his solid albums are better than Nas solid albums....and his bad albums might be as bad (I am the west:snoop:)But at least he had movie to keep him from making so many weedplates:mjlol:

that's the purpose of a question. it's not to say that you said anything or not, it's to get your thoughts/opinions on a matter
you're looking real drool-from-the-lip-staring-off-into-space like right now dude. you may just need to move on.

:laff:

I agree versatility should be considered when discussing goats...but how the he'll u gonna post Eminem and LL cool J,as if they more versatile than Cube:laff:...aww man that's funny,Cube is hands down th

ICE CUBE has a chart topping, award winning duet with a global pop star that crossed over far outside of hip hop? where? with who?

Eminem has TWO of those with Rihanna - Monster and Way you Lie; every white girl/woman in america knows those songs: (notice i'm not using my feelings, I'm stating facts - i don't like the songs either but reality is reality)

CUBE is known for his freestyle/battle rapping!? where? this is the internet, show me a publication saying this, or a video of ICE CUBE spitting hot ones off the dome:

The point is those albums ain't classic and I've never seen anyone call them classic ever. I'm not even one of those lyrical miracle 90's loving boom bap ass nikkas either so save it. Nas is a better rapper than Cube, period. If you ask 100 nikkas whose skillset you rather have they gonna say Nas.

Only weedplate you named out those albums was Nastradamus. I Am and Hip Hop is Dead were solid and released to mostly positive reception. I Am has classic songs (Hate Me Now, Nas is Like). Untitled was praised in real time. Those are better more talked about and acclaimed efforts than anything Cube's done since Lethal Injection. I don't think you realize that nikkas haven't gave a fukk about Cube or a Cube verse like that for over a decade. Yet, Nas is still putting out solid albums and is one of the most sought out veteran features right now.

I'm not having the Illmatic discussion with you. It don't matter what you think millions disagree and the album has a legacy and undisputed classic status whether you agree or not. I didn't say Cube was a wack lyricist he just ain't no Nas, Jay, Pac, etc. when it comes to writing.

oh so thats the criteria u basing your goats off of?goats need to win the hearts of white women nationwide like only Em and LL cool J can:laff:?not my damn goats:scust:

Pretty sure crackaw fukk with fukk the Police and Today Was a Good Day though, which should get more props since Cube aint white, plus he dissed the shyt out of em:wow:

This discussion can end now that youve given clarity on whats important to u:snoop:...but first let me ask does LL and Em have records that cover racism, politics as well as Cube does?i know LL has accidental racist and Em has a few of his own:mjpls:

Cubes debut sold SOLD in real time and was acclaimed, his followup Kill at Will sold and was acclaimed in realtime,no sophmore slumps on Cubes part....but lets not count thqt as the sophmore as most dont,Death Certicate blew up in real time as well as sold:sas1:...you talkin all this shyt, but in REAL TIME,just on some rap shyt...Cube was nationally more anticipated as an EMCEE than Nas,and for good measure so was Snoop....so damn what you prefer too, nikkas loved the way Cube rapped in his era...and would still love him today over nas if he kept his skills,i resentnu nikkas actin like Cube skillwise now is the same Cube as his prime:camby:...Nas has stayed lyrically consistent, and being thqts the only great part ofnhis skillset as an emcee,as long as he continues being lyrical, the lyrical miracle fans will eat it up.

you posting from a bubble and bias persoective....if 100 nikkas wouod rather have Nas skillset over prime cubes they simply dont know emceeing as well as me:sas1:....outside of ny,and matter of fact probaly even in NY Cubes style and delivery goes over better with crowds across the nation...every cypher ive ever seen the Cube of the bunch would get the better reaction than a Nas...so damn all that 100 nikkas wouod rther hve Nas skills than Cubes talk....pretty sure they would say that because nas name has been boosted by bias media,as well as just being more relevant and never hving a career bigger than his rap career.

also as well as these "millions" of nikkas that choose nas over Cube, show me where Nas has ever proved popularity wise hes so far greater than Cube?cant say he was more popular upon debut in the 90s cuz we got facts to dispute thqt...."Bu bu but Nas was more popularnin the 2000's".....Didnt Cuhe outsell Nas when they dropped the same year?it was either Laugh Now Cry Later or Raw Footage:jbhmm:....if i remember this wrong,i know for dqmn surenit wasnt a landslide...u cant even use nas popularity when Cube is dead as far as musical relevancy,to try to play Nas over Cube...hiphop fans still apparently trusted in Cube tongive quality work:sas1:

And nobody ever had to diss Cube to give Cube life after he fell off:sas1:

Stop talking about bullshyt and sales. Snoop and Cube were more anticipated they were bigger than a 20 year old Nas, so what. Illmatic didn't do pop numbers first week in '94 if that's what you expected from an album of that nature, so what it's revered today.

Cube was already an established act coming into his debut album from his N.W.A work nikka became a movie star. Snoop was the break out star on Dr. Dre's famous Chronic album and you know this shyt so stop acting dumb. Blah, blah East Coast media bias nikka you crying get out of here. A lot of nikkas like Cube's style but more nikkas like Nas style and more modern MC's are inspired by Nas.

It is what it is... :umad:

:mjlol:

No, he didn't outsell Nas and it wasn't close. Laugh Now, Cry Later did 144,000 first week and Hip Hop is Dead did 355,000 and went Plat. Nobody has gave a fukk about Cube's music like that in a decade plus.

Don't talk about disses when Cube was quick to diss nikkas but when dissed by a credible MC he was quiet. Talk about Common exposing Cube as a race hustling, wanksta ass, trendhopping, fake Muslim, contradictory c00n.

You was cool talking about "real time" til that truth stared you in the face:mjpls:....now it's Nas album did what it was supposed to do at the time:mjlol:...as if there weren't far less hyped, non commercial albums that did better in realtime....all the dikkriding the east coast and source did,u can't get better promotion at the time....where were all of these millions who loved Nas style better...and let's talk about Raw Footage vs Untitled, says Cube sold 800k while Nas went gold with Untitled....where are these legions of nikkas who like Nas style over Cubes?don't let these people on the in nantes dikkriding Nas blow your head up and control the narrative....like I said u posting from a skewed one man perspective...commercial shyt aside,Cube was anticipated as a EMCEE for his RAPS when he dropped...I could care less what new nikkas like ,I've already established history gets rewritten....ivellmatic has been rewritten to be some album that made the nation stop when it dropped:mjlol:...Death Certificate was more anticipated based on Cube's skillw, more superior, more quotable, more impressive emcee performance, what else you want:sas1:?

If it got the same dikkriding it deserved from East coast media, that illmatic doesn't deserve it would be the album new nikkas would be dikkriding....in short u sound brainwashed and blind:sas1:,not rare in Hip Hop I'm here to deprogram u nikkas today though:sas2:

Kill at Will EP - 10 (GOAT EP)
Death Certificate - 10 (classic)
The Predator - 9.5

War & Peace Vol. 1 - 6

Yeah real weak discography lol. And not to mention his Bow Down album w/Westside Connection and Straight Outta Compton w/NWA with which he was responsible for a lot of the rhyme writing.

I can't think of 5 rappers who have a better discog.
