What's the purpose of this new MacBook? Other than the thinness of it and it looking good in gold, what other incentive is there to cop?

Now, I was going to buy one just because I wanted a Mac but comparing them on the Apple website, it seems I'd get a better value for my money getting the 13" MBP w/retina display since they're both starting at $1299

I keep hearing that it's supposed to be the bridge between the air and the pro.

I just copped a mid-2014 pro so I'll be good..,I was originally going to by an Air but They had the pros on sell I'm assuming a 2015 is otw.

I'm an IT and all I used to deal with was garbage ass Dells and PC's and in the past 7 years I've gone through atleast 3 laptops until I got my Mac.

I keep the working ones on standby but they don't compare. I've done schoolwork, work work, DJ'd, LogicPro/beats, photo editing, and multimedia all on the same mac for the past 4 years... And it's the basic 13 inch model too. Never been more satisfied.

Yeah ive just said im save up for a mac cause im need for audio engineering and making beats. Which one should i get macbook pro or air which is best for what im trying to do.

The purpose is that it will make Apple a crazy return...that shyt is the definition of an overpriced netbook.

Get a MacBook Pro if you are thinking of getting one...its a much better laptop than this new one.

:mjlol: at you 'PC' users, Macbook + Apple Care = not needing another computer for years

Try contacting IBM, HP or Dell for a repair. Apple ships me a new Macbook via one day shipping if I have any problems :ahh:

I'm not the type to tell people how to spend their money but...
:mjlol:@ dumb nikkas paying a $1000 logo premium to watch porn and post on the coli...

Unless you're in IT, a digital designer or music producer there is absolutely no reason for you to own a MAC...

The specs simply do not justify the price for the average user who simply wants to surf the internet, use Microsoft office and play games...It's like paying Lamborghini prices for a KIA and all you need the car for is to drive to work...

even if you are a digital designer or producer there is no reason to buy a mac.

if i bought a mac desktop with my specs i don't even want to know how much it would cost.

:wow: @ the misinformation in here.

Windows machines are definitely more susceptible to viruses, malware and adware but you won't get any of that shyt if you prepare your machine properly and use it wisely. I haven't had a virus in well over a decade.

Also, avoiding known bad sites is good too. I fix windows laptops as a side hustle once in a while and the biggest question I get is "where do you go to get the new movies, I think my site messed my computer up" :heh:

For me, Macbooks have better build quality than 99.9% of Windows laptops and are truly worth every penny. I used to be on that fukk Apple train because of the steep buy-in price, but I broke down and got one. I boughot an Air in 2013 and it works (and looks) just as good as day one. The $500 Windows laptops just don't compare. They're usually mostly plastic, heavier, bulkier, run hotter, and have a fraction of the battery life.

The first problem is comparing a $1500 macbook to a $500 pc. How is that a fair comparison? I have a MBP. It's a nice little machine but it's hyped. I think the OS is Meh to be honest. Windows is still the standard Imo.

Apple Customer service is what won me over. My Macbook was delivered to my leasing office instead of my address. They thought it was stolen, apple was willing to send me a brand new macbook when it was just miscommunication error between UPS.
