Sound is great after breaking in, at first the highs may be a bit too much and fatigue your ears but each person is different. It's been over a year and half with them and theyre still intact for me. If you beat them up I can see the plastic on top breaking.

On mine the fabric on the cups is starting to peel a little bit from sweat and wear and tear.

with my ATH-M50's.

The headphone amp makes a big difference. It's definitely worth the money, you won't regret it.

How do you like it's sound signature? I was looking at Fiio E12 but went with JDS Labs C5.

I'm looking for an upgrade now.

It's great to me. Highs and mids are vastly improved. Bass Boost is minimal, but I do have some large headphones. I'm sure the JDS you have already is much better than the one I have. I was considering E12 also, but didn't really want to spend that much for a marginal improvement over the E11. I see that there is an updated version of the E11(E11K) at the same price, I might consider that one in the near future.
