I'm obsessed with the "technical" aspect of hiphop. The putting of words together utilizing different rhyme schemes and patterns.

Doesn't seem like too many people on this board share that same interest, I've even seem some describe that as "cac shyt":francis:

I like dope shyt.

Basically. I like all types of shyt. This week I've been listening to Nas, Ka, Roc Marciano, Young Thug, Elucid, The Roots, Future, and Warren G.

Overall to me personally, I value introspective deep lyricism above all. Hence why Nas is my favorite rapper. I also love abstract, vivid lyricism. Hence why MF DOOM and Ghostface are two of my favorites as well. But that doesn't stop me from loving Wicked by Future, or like SS3.

I'm black and I appreciate when emcees take their time with the schemes.

I also appreciate rappers who have a good understanding of rhythm/flow and use it to weave in and out of a beat.

And I also appreciate when an emcee comes with some substance. Doesn't even have to be overtly positive

Over the last couple days, I've been on Ka, Rae Sremmurd, Dreezy, DJ Quik, Suga Free, Nas, Anderson .paak, and "Summertime in the LBC"

I like dope shyt, don't care if it's underground or mainstream, currently I feel the best music coming from the more underground artists though...

I pretty much listen to it all. Rap has so many different sounds and styles, that's why it's the most popular genre in the world
