I was on my way from work and this very nice looking white SUV stops in front of me and the driver shakes my hand and tells me some sob story about how he is from Dubai and he lost his wallet and he is unable to feed his family. This man was dressed nice, the interior of his SUV was leather.

He then offers to give me the ring on his finger which he claims to be gold if I can give him some money. He never asked for a specific amount (perhaps if I had accepted his offer he would have told me how much he needed to feed his family)

I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what scam he was up to.
Ring is worth $1 to $2 of fake gold.
Just go on ebay.

How am i green? I literally just wrote that he was a scam artist but i didn't know what kinda scam he was trying to pull. Why would a well dressed man driving a brand new SUV try to scam some pedestrian walking on the street out of a few dollars?

Scammers don’t go based on logic lol

I say green because you assume a well dressed person wouldn’t scam you.

Politicians wear suits

The fact that you're asking that question is why people think you're green, breh.

I get what you're trying to say, but some of the grimiest hood rats I've ever known owned a set of "upscale" clothing in case they needed it for the next scam.

You take the ring, he let's a friend punch him in the face a few times. Maybe another friend was in the cut casually recording. He goes to the police and the news saying he was robbed by a black man. You go to jail.

This. After fashion week in nyc every year some random Italian sounding dude would stop me on the street trying to sell some “extra clothes”
