You can debark a dog? That's terrible. Declawing is the equivalent to cutting fingers to the last knuckle of a human. It's painful and dangerous, and it leaves your cat completely unable to defend itself. People should just not have pets if they can't handle their natural behaviors.

I would never get the procedure done on any cat, however I've had cats that were declawed and some that had their claws. Yes, they will scratch you, 9 times out of 10 you prolly asked/triggered it. Most that I've had know when to retract their claws when they are playing with you versus their toys. I know people who have dogs with "no bark" collars, 1st time I've ever seen/heard of those.
