:mjlol: @ this being a good read...this is typical wack ass Whitlock garbage...the laziest of Game of Thrones analogies, plainly wrong analysis (spo actually should be credited for his overall of the MIA offense over the years and it was indeed put together to fit bron's strengths...it was their defense that failed them, historically, these finals), and the most ridiculous implausible of scenarios as his conclusion (Bron should demand the heat to hire Popavich as coach) :why: ...dude is awful

Good God, really? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

When he talks about the Heat, he becomes an even more garbage writer than usual. I still remember after Game 3 of the 2011 NBA Finals he declared the series over and the Heat's to win, after killing them all year and proceeded to kill them after anyway:dead:

Holy fukk Whitlock is a shytty writer on this article too :scusthov:

This is a terrible idea.

how so? that's what i miss most about the NBA and college basketball from 2005+. College you make a basket and go into auto press pre 2005...you actually needed skills to get the ball into the half court and i think that made more guards nba ready.

it starts on the defensive end. I bet your Jordan and prime Pippen would have on parker, mills or ginoboli full court to wear them out.

Number one, you don't miss it about the NBA because you've never seen full court pressing in the NBA on any type of consistent basis.

It's a terrible idea for the defense. Guards in the NBA are WAY TOO GOOD to be guarded full court for a whole game; all you're going to do is tire your point guard out and have your defense shredded because you decided to guard the length of the court and your guards keep getting blown by and you're ending up in 4-on-3 or even 4-on-4 or 3-on-3 situations in the frontcourt.

Starts off saying they are lucky to win because they had inferior teams to the '13 Spurs. Then in the same article says they were the better team but underachieved because Spo was coaching them and not Pop or Carlisle. :what:

and did he conveniently leave someone off this list?
:childplease:
Seeing as how he already passed him, I doubt it.

LeBron is needed to facilitate the offense. You cant risk tiring him out playing a full court press the whole game. I mean, the man is good but he isnt a machine.

"The Decision, the Dallas meltdown and the San Antonio avalanche are all more memorable than Miami's accomplishments."

This is true

"A dedicated offensive system develops players. You want to know why Miami hasn't developed one young player in four seasons? You want to know why Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole regressed? There's no offensive system to build their confidence. Being a spot-up shooter when James and Wade go one-on-one is not a healthy system for development. It's a job for mercenaries and one-dimensional, past-their-prime veterans."

This is also true. :yeshrug:

Miami's offense is slow, and they don't get easy baskets. It does need a change. They couldn't score enough to play with the Spurs. They didn't reach 100 pts all series. 4 straight Finals is an accomplishment, but it isn't at the same time. The only time the Heat have been challenged were because of Bosh's injury in 2012, and the Pacers in 2013, and the latter got blown out in game 7

if i'm down 3-1 i'm pressing the dude bringing it across 1/2 court... and i'll do system offense.
i think it starts on the defensive end to turn the game around and they ain't have that type of effort.

System offense?

You gonna devise an entirely new offense for the team in the two days between games 4 and 5?
