Between high level 2 and low level 3. I won't go hungry and I can surprise myself sometimes, but generally, I operate under the idea that simple done well wins ball games.

Not being lazy with it is part of being a good cook.
I remember plenty of times where my dad would grill some hotdogs or some simple basic shyt. But would still fukk that up because he wouldn't even bother to get buns or proper condiments. Never had lettuce, onions or tomato for burgers ever. Just sandwich bread and ketchup. maybe pickles if we got lucky.

some people just dont want to cook.. they would rather someone else go through all the trouble, cleaning, etc.. doesnt mean they cant cook, ot the person who does cook is good at cooking..

I'm like a 3 or 4. I've collab'd with my sister, who is a chef, to cook Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners in the past.

Mom ALWAYS makes the main dish (that's her thing) so the turkey, ham, chicken is usually handled by her. We do the sides and lesser protein (we cook a beef roast on Christmas, and have various other non-turkey meats at Thanksgiving)

They usually want me on the grill at cookouts (because I season, not sauce) but my pops or my uncle will get it every now and then too.


I mean, I can make my own meals but usually try recipes from Tasty or Delish. I watch Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives for pleasure but also to get new techniques and ideas
