What Made You An Atheist?

For my Atheists on here (I'm theist), what made you one? Also, how do you go through life without a higher being involved? Isn't that hard to do because humans are flawed. What do you think about the afterlife? Do you believe in it? For me, g-d is my foundation.

Nope. I think it's something people believe to make death easier to handle.

Consciousness is such a mystery I could be wrong. It's so much we don't know about our own existence and how consciousness even works, it could be anything after we die.

So, basically you don't believe in a life after death? Also, the soul never dies out. There's a spiritual life right there.

My biggest gripe is animals bugs in particular. Think of how many bugs you've killed they are made from the same organic material as us, from the same cellular processes , and if he existed by the same God and yet I bet you never thought they went to heaven

When i was like 13 i really thought about it and the concept of heaven and hell just wasn't all that believable, and found that logic gets thrown out the window when it comes to religion. It blossomed from there.

I’ve doubted god existing since elementary but I lied to myself because everyone around me thought the opposite. Discovering online atheists at 14 changed that though.

A human life out weighs a bug's life. Also, in the Torah/Bible, G-d said we could eat animals in order to survive.

Maybe there's a bug bible, and in it, all humans are set to burn in hell for eternity.

Nothing makes a humans life more important than a bug's. We are made from the same organic material , same cellular processes, the same things can kill us, and the same thing happens to us when we die.

There's zero proof that there's not a g-d. Without a g-d, in my opinion, humans would be worse than they are now. Also, no I wouldnt have a foundation.

I dont believe in soul either. I believe souls are a reason for consciousness to make people feel better too. When people don't understand something we make things up to make it make sense.

What exactly is a soul to you and why do you believe there is a such thing?

Did op change the title? I'm not an athest. I'm an agnostic. I don't believe or disbelieve. I just think there's more evidence leaning towards no higher power
