Not gonna be a long piece but I've noticed and been told in my life that I have an innocent/boyish aura about me. Today, my brother and I talked and he told me he respects me as his blood but not as a man. I'm 22 and the only thing I feel for myself is anger (which also feels childish). It's unacceptable. He told me everyone goes through trials to become a man but there isn't any one single answer to it. I'm just curious what other brehs went through that gave them their "aha" moment.

It was at this moment, I became a man.

Seriously, I didn’t have much of a choice. The relatives I lived with, said that they were moving, and I couldn’t come with them. So I did what I had to do.

Having a child makes you feel something. I don’t know if that feeling is becoming a man but it’s something.

You're 22 years old, by law you are a man. You can by liquor, by weed, join the military, etc.

If you feel 'soft' take up something like boxing, Muay thai, and Judo. At that point it won't matter what people say because you can beat they ass with ease.

You should also learn to build yourself up by means of handling your business.

enjoy the ride is all I can say

for me it was my first son. that's when i had to step up.

Having a kid sounds like a great idea until you realize the unnecessary struggle at a young age. At 22 he should be building his career and traveling, so when he does have a kid he'll have the money and life experiences out the way.

Unless op is in the streets gangbanging, his brother is in the clear wrong.

2 things for me.

Either around the ending part of my Sophomore year at A&T or maybe the early Junior part when I LITERALLY looked around and noticed that a lot of the cats I came in freshman year with was either no longer around or close to getting lost in the shuffle. I didn’t wanna be a “career student” so I started to get more serious to get up out of their”

The second was 2 years after I graduated and made the decision to move from Gboro to Charlotte. shyt got real and I knew it was no more time to be a kid
