I thought it was just food poisoning at first so I tried to wait it out. It got to the point where the pain was unbearable and when I drove myself to the hospital I was swerving all over the road. I was puking everywhere and I puked so much that I started puking up bile. I was in the hospital for a month and some.

Yeah, I was on that wait it out tip too until my nursing friend told me it sounded like appendicitis. Sorry you had to go through all of that. A month and some change on your back in the hospital will make you start reflecting on everything. Glad you were able to recover breh

I realized that when ppl offer to help you, yet treat you as a burden, or have an ulterior motive, that it's best to be self sufficient. I had family help me thru situations, yet hold it over my head so I got my own place at 22, finished school, interned to advance my career, worked a lot to save and now I'm doing good. Making sure I'm secure so I won't have to depend on others.

getting extreemly sick and feeling like i was going to die made me reflect on how much alot of us take good health, good food, good friends, good weather etc. for granted.

Being soo sick allowed for me to reflect on patience and to simply slow down with compulsive lust after things i dont need & stressing over insignifcant things, that way i could actually consider what it was that really mattered in life. I'm not sure if many people realize how fortunate they are no matter what they are going through..

I'd have to say a car accident a few years ago, I almost died probably was like a minute away from dying, made me realize how short life is and nothing is guaranteed. Since then I've been travelling all over the world by myself, dabbling in photography.

Also my last relationship opened my eyes and made me got more close to my immediate family, cut off many people who should not have access to my life

Mannn...just gettin older n lettin having the "real world" check my ass.

Gets to a point where the shyt you do when you are younger has no positive influence on the things you wanna do later on in life. You dont even realize it til shyt really hits the fan tho. If I had to really pick a moment in time, I would say it was when I hit 28, and I came to the realization I didnt achieve the things I thought I would by the time I was 28 when I had mapped my life out at the age of 17.

Still got no regrets tho. Maybe a couple here n there, but at the end of the day they are all learning experiences. Sometimes you need to really need to pay the piper before you truly understand the consequences of your actions. I can go back in time all day...and remember when all the OGs, or my pops/uncles/grandads tried to put me on game about a bunch of this life shyt and I just shrugged it off like old nikkas bein old nikkas. Wish I woulda listened....but at the same time I'm glad I finally wised up when I did.

This so real. Society feeds a lot of bs to us and oldheads really be trying to put nikkas on.:wowzer: I see it alot. Any real nikka had to make that decision to wake up and stop that freefall. I think how much time you got left by the time you understand could be a deciding factor in the game.

Some of my close friends in College are on the come up, doing real well.

I saw their Linkedin's and IG's ... Made me delete all my social media until I get all my shyt together on my terms.

This was about 15 months ago, I made progress but I still have to put alot more work to put in.

Def gotta let go of social media when you’re trying to level up/fix your life.

Was a complete sociopath for a long while.
shyt got to me...somehow. Guess moms was praying hardcore.
Had to stop wildin and get my shyt together.
Constant struggle daily...but with God, all things are possible.
Complete turnaround and i'm even helping others nowadays!
