What makes a rapper great?

What are some of y’all criteria that you look at for a rapper to be great?

I look at the following:

Lyrical Ability(who you flip words, similes, metaphors, etc.)

Story Telling ( Can I visually see what your talking about and is the story captivating and does it have great twist)

Beat selection(not as important if you have the first two but can make it break an artist that has weaker lyrics)

Flow ( is the flow you use either unique or creative) ( is the flow butter smooth or rapid)

Feeling or Emotion (Might be the great factor between if I listen to an artist that some might call trash) I You can make me feel or if you have incredible feel in what your saying it will draw me in.

To me these all have a factor I wanted to know what everybody else looks for.

back ground-
What is the rapper's back ground?
Are they hustlers,gangstaz,shooters,ballaz playaz?
Are they underground?
Do they do it for the luv?
Do they have integrity?
Are they authentic?
Are they bout that life?
Are they hungry?

much more talented-
How much more talented are they then the average rapper?

under represented-
Are they getting their proper dues compared to their skill level?

What type of vibe to they have?-
Do they have a unique vibe?

Do they sound original?-
The type of words that they use and the way they use them sound original
with gems of ish u won't hear anywhere else (unless bitten)

How lyrical are they?-
Are they not lyrical enough or too lyrical?
Do they have just the right blend of lyricalness?

Are they up on times and what's poppin in the streets?

Do they speak wisdom and truths in their raps?

How dope is their delivery?

Vocals have to be dope

Are they exciting to listen to?

Do they have a limited amount of material or over stock?

Do they keep the fans waiting or do they over feed their fans too much music?

Do the beats do the work for them or do they make the beats better?

To me these all have a factor I wanted to know what everybody else looks for.

thos three mainly are the3 things i look for the other stuff is something i don't factor basically skills for me/.

I used to be like that growing up if you couldn’t rhyme in a certain way I would have never listen to that rapper. The person that changed that was Cudi. I just thought his content was so good I’d rather hear him than some others.
