I'm quite amused by the emotion in here. I'm afraid if I challenge these responses, my (figurative; not literal) high will be blown, so I'll puff, puff, pass. Your

U know what, tho? I actually agree with many of these responses. The comments those players made were very generic. Not because they don't love 'Melo and not because they don't know he's great. If you notice, many times, when you ask players to say nice things about another great player, they're reluctant because they're competitors. When you ask them to compliment lesser tier players, they're much more eager. Kobe and Lj love 'Melo and know he's great. Check out these videos where Lj is caping hard for 'Melo; trying to save him from free agency criticism, and one where Kobe explains why 'Melo is the most difficult player in the league to guard:

These are just people who have been told who to worship and who to hate by a league who knows people will just blindly trust them before they will look up the facts for themselves. For whatever reason, most people want to be told how to think and what to feel. The only "style of play" that ever resulted in a championship is playing on a contending team, and anyone willing to utilize common sense knows everyone has that opportunity. Phil is more qualified than Doc Rivers at their respective President of Basketball Operations gigs, and the Clips have never even been to the Finals. NY has the 4th most Finals appearances, 5th most consecutive Finals appearances, and 9th most championships in the history of the league. NY has won a Finals game without Ewing since Jordan left Chicago and the Bulls haven't even had a competitive Conference Finals series since Jordan left (let alone a Finals appearance). In the one Conference Finals appearance since Jordan left, the Bulls were all but swept by Miami. Jordan has retired and Phil and his Triangle are in NY with the youngest prototypical Triangle Superstar in the league and one of the most successful franchises in NBA history. 'Melo is in great hands.
