They didn't match Kanye. They surpassed him in every aspect. Kanye's great at what he does. I don't think that he took music anywhere that OutKast hadn't before. Late Registration is possibly the only exception.

dude pushed the genre forward in terms of musicality and progressive music for over a decade, made tons of hot tracks with virtually everyone who is anyone in the industry, reinvented himself and his music for every single album, has tons of awards, recognition, plaques, you name it, for his contributions to music. he forwarded the genre and contributed a ton to the culture. he helped expand hip hops palette.

songs like blood on the leaves, devil in a new dress, all falls down, jesus walks, good life, etc are timeless

he's pretentious and married Kim K so these dudes wanna judge the quality of his music off of that for some reason. idk why but whatever
