No he isn’t

Yes he was, I could make the argument LeBron peaked higher than Mike given he carried a greater defensive responsibility than Mike ever did while still being the primary initiator AND scorer on offense...

Bron's collection of greatest playoff performances is greater in quantity than Mike's and his greatest are probably just better...

So I could make that argument based on those merits, but I'll meet in the middle and say Peak Mike and Peak Bron were equally high...

Eh I said with OR above and I grouped Shaq and Mike. So it didn't necessarily mean Shaq was better. I'd still say Mike would get the edge but that's kind of besides the point. We're pretty much splitting hairs anyway. The main thing is I would put those 3 in a separate group. And I don't have Kareem in there

My thing is this, the only two people who differentiated themselves from the pack at peak are LeBron and Mike. Shaq's peak is up there with Wilt and Kareem, that's probably the next tier...

Shaq isn't in any tier that has Mike or Bron...

Lebron can lead a team unlike Kareem. The real question is what makes him better than peak Bird (other than longevity) and Magic?

Actually by the numbers, MJ is not a better shooter. Lebron shoots at a higher percentage inside and outside the arc. Lebron has played 5 more years, so even if we took both of their 10 best shooting years lebron still shoots almost 3 percent higher than mike. 53.3% to 50.6%. He also shoots a higher 3pt% despite shooting 4,698 more 3pt field goals.

As far as defense goes, this summary might be one of the best i've seen.

"So after watching the film, looking at the data available, putting their defense into context, who do I think was the better or more impactful defender?

The best way to put this is I think Lebron James had the better defensive prime (08-13) and Michael Jordan had the better defensive career. I think Lebron’s prime defense is more impactful and adds more value to his team compared to Michael’s. That added off ball defense and versatility gives him a slight edge over Jordan. Michael Jordan has the better defensive career, he was as valuable to more valuable for a longer period of time. I have 08-13 Lebron beating 88-92 Michael by a hair, his combination of team and isolation defense along with amazing versatility added a lot of value to his team. Both are all time defenders, especially in their primes. Jordan’s defensive consistency stayed up till later in his career, Lebron declined earlier. Both these greats turn it up in the playoffs, predictably their defense gets better when the stakes are higher. Both of the players were a part of great league defenses and clearly had an all time impact."

6'2", and no I didn't play basketball. I played football and baseball. I don't understand why that matters considering I just applied basic statistical math, and a third party synopsis. Or is this going to take a "You didn't play basketball, so you don't know what you're looking at" type spin?
