If you had to show someone who knew nothing of your country, language, or people one movie clip that got at the essence of your culture, what would it be?

Although I wasn’t the biggest fan of this movie, I think this scene in the Color Purple perfectly captured the essence of the African American experience.

Things that come to mind:
origins in the south
centrality of the church
battle between secularism vs. spirituality
respectability vs. looseness
forgiveness
liberty
atonement
waywardness
prodigal son
daddy issues
red clay dirt
dirt roads
water
juke joint
white church
marching brass band
jazz
gospel
soul
the reverend
church ladies with church hats

What is a movie clip that perfectly captures what it is to be Jamaican, Haitian, Black Briton, Zulu, Igbo, Oromo, etc?
