What percent of African-Americans live in the South?

I believe that most of us live in the South.

But is there any statistics on this? What percentage?

there was a great migration from south to north but then the trends reversed in the 70s.

Yeah Cali is still 5th in black pop in total numbers, but only 27th in percentage. 1-4 in total numbers are NY, Florida, Texas, Georgia.

Montana has 4,027 black people.

Hispanics mostly live in West Coast/Southwest
Whites are everywhere obviously but, they dominate the Mid West, Mountain West and the Pacific Northwest.


Whites don't dominate the East Coast because cities like Philly, Baltimore, DC and New York have huge minority populations but, over in the Midwest in places like Iowa, Kansas, Indiana, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Colorado, North & South Dakota, Minnesota.......it is perfectly normal for cities to be 90% white
