it's not even that it's disposable/not classic... it's just the nature of the world we live in today.

dont matter how good something is, we'll tire of it in a matter of months ( if not weeks) and be in search of something new.

there is no true need to appreciate anything, cause somebody just as good, if not better is gonna be coming along soon.
I disagree though..Kendricks album was the last classic..Its been almost 2 years and its not like GKMCs are falling out of trees...If it were the case nikkas wouldn't be complaining about dry spells...

Classic shyt always has legs..People act like there wasn't disposable shyt like Tracy Lee and Peter Gunz back in the day as well..

I'm glad Kendrick isn't falling for that overexposure "strike while the irons hot" mode that most of these artist get caught in..

nobody is talking about GKMC like that anymore... it's been over a year since that, we stopped talking about his Control verse months ago too.

even Classic music is disposable these days...we don't care about shyt lasting anymore, we want the latest and best shyt going.

we might come back to it later, but its always gonna be about what's the next hot shyt...nobody want's to be late to the party on any artists

Kendrick isn't falling for that the shyt that 2Chainz is on, cause he's not a product of a culture where you have to constantly put out shyt, or else your gonna get your food ate...gotta remember that 2Chainz is a ATL mixtape rapper who got enough steam to put out albums.

he been at it since 2009, Trap A Veli had shyt on smash:yes:

Illmatic could drop tomorrow and nikkas would be tired of it in a month

In the digital era we don't listen to albums as a whole anymore and just skip around tracks like its nothing, and we blame artists for just making hit singles and rest of the album filler trash. If they make a complete cohesive album nikkas still not going to listen to it all

On some real shyt rappers need to stop giving out free music

That's one of the main reasons even the hottest projects are only hot for a few weeks to maybe a few months at a time and albums aren't what they used to be

Hip Hop and to a lesser extent, R&B are the only 2 genres where people repeatedly give out free music and it's also the 2 genres that has suffered the biggest loss in popularity and record sales

That is no coincidence
