Your post is intellectually fraudulent

firstly Russia has been an ally of Syria for ever, If Assad goes they lose, If he stays the status quo remains the same...

False.

If Assad stays, he owes russia BIG time and pressures Turkey to loosen their relationship on Russia.

Did you forget Ukraine is RIGHT there???

They have been allies with Syria all these years and they didnt pinch the south side of Turkey but all of a sudden Now they want to?
Because Ukraine wasn't destabalized. Keep up!

typing in large caps is the first sign of flawed logic...
Its because you need to step out of this binary thinking and learn to think in terms of connected moves. This is chess, not checkers.

The civil war in Syria will rage on for years if not decades anyone that cant see that is an illiterate , if Russia want to get dragged into that nonsense so be it....
Assad leaving is the first step to maintaining US influence. Thats all that should matter to you if you're an American. Point. Blank. Period.

This man putin has disrespected the USA and does not fear us. We need to change that.
you idiots havent even learned from Viet Nam let alone Iraq
All military actions are not the same.

Borders and national interests exist. Putin is NOT helping the situation in the middle east. There are more factions at play than Al Qaeda...there is LEGIT opposition to Assad that isn't ISIS and Putin is out here just fukking it all up by keeping Assad in power and pushing back on the US.

Do you actually believe Assad will lose power now? The only way this ends is with him remaining in power now that the US created a clusterfukk. We had the chance to take him out at the start of the conflict when all of the momentum was going against him and there was no ISIS in Syria. The US balked at the chance and now we're not left with many options. ISIS obviously can't control the country and has to be defeated. The other rebels are technically still terrorists and in an environment where terrorism runs rampant, no one will want to give them authority. That leaves Assad in power unless he gets tried at the Hague.

My only problem is that Assad now owes Putin huge and will push Turkey to remove its US based influence.

Drop all of this kumbaya shyt fam.

The world is for the taking if people don't have their shyt together to not be influenced by outsiders. Assad is no better than Saddam ever was on his best day.

Just because you listen to Democracy Now or you think Noam Chomsky makes you feel better about calling out your own government, it doesn't mean it makes the world like you any more than they do.

This is a direct threat to US foreign interests and the leverage the US has in the region.

You're just against anything that asks you to ASSERT yourself because you fear power. You fear control. You fear WINNING.
YOU CANT WIN THE WORLD YOU DUNCE. I am against suicide by way of aggression you dumb ignorant fukk. This is our planet not gta

Other nations don't live up to our standards or quality of action.

WHAT THE fukk IS YOUR PROBLEM?!?!

Why do you support other countries gaining influence at our expense?
Incase you cant read i was in favour of handling foreign relations ethically. Not carrying on with this pirate style deceptive warfare shyt. If we are so big and powerful with such a large group of allies, then theres no need to carry on the dikk swinging contest that you get off on. America profits off of warfare but have been in pole position long enough to adjust its policies. YOUR plan of action has led to RUSSIA REGAINING this foothold in middle east relations you backwards shill

You can't say "fukk" this game, because everyone else is playing it.

Everything you have is BECAUSE of this game.

EVERYTHING. DO NOT EVER CEDE ANYTHING ON THE BASIS OF EMOTIONALITY OR GUILT!

The USA is a powerful country and should remain so. Every other country wants to be in your spot and will kill, steal, lie, and cheat their way to do it. We shouldn't lose out on remaining on top because of a moral technicality. @¢apitali$t Migraine

Play the game!

You say "fukk the empire game" yet you live in the greatest country to have ever lived with more food in your belly and more entertainment at your disposal simply bcause of the efforts made on its behalf to ensure that you have a stable government and a viable economy.

Stop with this parasitic ungratefulness.

So much nonsense spouted in this thread...

Assad aint the real power in Syria.... the army generals are , it is similar to when Mubbarak was in charge of Egypt,

Assad has never been in control of the army he aint no Saddam

The army generals would get rid of Assad with the quickness If it benefitted them....

people are so stupid and ignorant

Its so funny how everyone in this thread advocating US involvement in Syria refuses to address how unsuccessful US involvement in Iraq , Libya , and Afghanistan turned...

thats why I cant take these morons seriously

Too bad. That time was 5 years ago when Assad chose not to back down and when there was legit opposition to his tyranny.

Not carrying on with this pirate style deceptive warfare shyt.
Too bad. Everyone else does it and we have to beat them at their game. Russia WILL come for your fukking food and you can't let them get comfortable at doing it.
If we are so big and powerful with such a large group of allies, then theres no need to carry on the dikk swinging contest that you get off on.
Yes we do. Many allies are feeling the threat of expanding Russian influence and you can't ignore it.
America profits off of warfare but have been in pole position long enough to adjust its policies. You plan of action has led to russia regaining this foothold in middl east relations you backwards shill
This myopia is why you'll never achieve much of your own personal success because you seem to think your competitors are your friends. You truly do not understand how power is won or attained. This matters immensely to the future of the middle east and how basic assets are handled.
