I won't doubt that the M.E. policy is less than ideal. To utterly disastrous. I thought Obama would have avoided some of that, but thanks to decades of white supremacist neglect, it seems Obama has done nothing but manage crises, because I still don't truly believe he would have OVERTHROWN leaders, and we're left with what we have here.![]()
The Surprisingly Big Market for Sand Just Collapsed
Oil collapse couldn't come at worse time for industry
Collapsing Oil Prices Are Forcing Small US Producers To Shut Down Wells
I don't even need to go further.... dead wrong here.
So you take any criticism of the US as one not wanting to be here? There's no place I'd rather be either and I love my passport too.... none of that shyt changes the fact that our moves in the ME have been disastrous and counterproductive. If you think one has to turn a blind eye to all the goofy shyt we are doing abroad in order to be happy to be an American, you're more of an idiot than I initially thought

I've already said Obama missed his golden window to handle Syria.Less than ideal
If our ME interventions have been less than ideal here are some other things that were less than ideal
- being long shale oil in 2015
- being a Jew during the National Socialist's reign in Germany
- your posting career last year
US presence in the ME has been an unmitigated disaster, even by your doe eyed metrics of strict hegemony. The more we intervene, the more control and opportunity we give to folks like Khomeni & ISIS. The ME is worse for us today than it was 10, 15, 20 years ago, all thanks to our actions there. Only a real "la la la la i cant hear you" idiot would think continuing or doubling down on the path we've taken will yield anything different![]()
Even if Obama had taken out Assad, the puppet regime he'd put in would have been no match for ISIS. And we shouldn't have went into Iraq in the first placeI've already said Obama missed his golden window to handle Syria.
And Iraq? Well i don't think anyone expected that.

America thought the world was stupid and would fall for all our BS, and that MEers would roll over for us. Turns out we are actually the idiots in this situation, with too much pride to take an L gracefully and with minimal blowback
We are willing to destroy our own oil industry to keep doing Israel's bidding at our own peril........ there is no victory in sight with the path we are headed on.

Get all the way the fukk outta here with that bullshyt breh
Woooow![]()
Did your crystal ball tell you Iraq would turn into a clusterfukk with foreign governments undermining our efforts at every step of the way?
Exactly. So shut the fukk up.Did we know every detail that would occur? No.
Did we know that, unless everything went to near perfection, that it could really blow up in our faces? Absolutely.
and lo and behold...
So there is no value in looking back on mistakes we made to hopefully not repeat them? And this is why we can't get anywhere on this discussion.
I'm talking about crisis management. Not hypotheticals.
I viciously opposed the Iraq War. Worst thing we could have done.
But we can't go backwards. Only forwards.
So if you can't get past this talking point, then what are we discussing here?
Says who?now the US has to clean up some shyt the current administration didn't even want.
I didn't say theres no value in history. I'm saying that crisis management is valued on how it handles present problems. You can't keep trying to predict the future with present circumstances. So there is no value in looking back on mistakes we made to hopefully not repeat them?
I'm looking back at Iraq, the Iranian Revolution, the Soviet-Afghan war, the overthrow of Mossadegh, and I'm seeing a pattern of failure in the ME on the part of the US and West in general, and I'm using that as a backdrop on what to expect from our choices going forward. The more we try to do in the ME, the more we fukk it up. So maybe this time we do something different. Manage the refugees and let shyt take its course.
