Exactly. So shut the fukk up.

Obama didn't even vote for the fukking war. But he inherited it.

The Iraqi's didn't want the US to stick around. We obliged. We said, hey we've done enough here.

Then the Iraqi's fukked it up and now the US has to clean up some shyt the current administration didn't even want.

And here you are, wanting the U.S. to go at it again, this time with Syria.

Lol

Says who?
Obama didn't vote for the war. A lot of his administration didn't support the war either.

But as POTUS you can't just pack up all your toys when you want to the moment you come into office. So we eased out. Tried to correct things, and the sins of the past came back to bite Iraq in the ass.

Arab spring popped off and we tried to wade through those waters. Failed. And this is what we have. But you keep wanting perfect outcomes. Doesn't happen that way.

We were asked to help in Syria (which is a coalition effort mind you).

I didn't say theres no value in history. I'm saying that crisis management is valued on how it handles present problems. You can't keep trying to predict the future with present circumstances.
You are trying to play both sides of this issue. Should we or should we not factor in ~70 years of ME intervention experience in decisions going forward?

Lets say Arab Spring wasn't a mass CIA coup. Then we can say that the US had to manage that shyt when it came to Libya. He was just going too far. Then Syria...we couldn't let that shyt go on. Syria has been terrible for a very long time. So now we look at what has happened in Iraq AND Syria and the hesitation to do anything for fear of getting ourselves too attached like A-Stan or Iraq...I'd say thats at least being sensitive to the situation on the ground, wouldn't you?

This entire thing has been trying to do a little without doing a lot. And its all backfired because no one in the current admin wanted to even be in this situation.
Oh please dont try and play all noble and benevolent now. This is about furthering the hegemony and our self interests, pure and simple. Saudi Arabia/Qatar/other Persian Gulf states, China, North Korea, the Dominican Republic, these are all regimes steeped in some unsavory civil rights violating business, yet we remain  or even keep strong positive diplomatic ties with them. Hegemony hoe Napoleon would be gleefully proclaiming how military intervention with them does nothing to help the hegemony. But now that it's obvious we can't even do THAT, you want to play your altruistic world police card lol. Get all the way the fukk outta here

I don't understand what you're asking right now.

I didn't support Iraq.

hold up...yet you'd be mad if the US did nothing in them? :francis:

Don't throw stones and hide your hand.

Cause in vacuums, there are places for other needs to be met and I KNOW you don't want China or Russia doing it :usure:

I had a good laugh at that. @88m3 started his anti-Russian propaganda the first chance he had (Russia kills women/kids).... Next day the US does the same thing just magnified 100x. :francis:

America intentionally killed those MSF workers

US> CCCP II

It looks like we are headed for WWIII with Russia so you will be granted your wish for a blank check for us to flex our power.

I don't have suggestions on what we should do, but continuing things your way will have ISIS being recognized by the UN as a legit state. Given how much we have fukked up the ME so far maybe letting China/Russia take them on wouldn't be such a bad thing. We are already on shaky ground as the reserve currency and other shyt.... all your posturing and hegemony dikk sucking seems to be a response to the inevitable
