The (white) sports media completely erased the fact that he got asswhooped by Lamar/Ravens earlier this year. Everything is set up for Allen to ball yet I'm not sure I buy that team getting it done. Broncos defense is no joke and Bo Nix is gonna hit them with a few big plays. If the Bill lose I don't want to hear anything else from Allen again.

3. Darnold

Unlike the other guys, Darnold got big money on the line. If he shyts the bed again against the Rams, after getting clowned against Detroit...it's over. Why would the Vikings pay to basically repeat the Kirk Cousins experiment VS just rolling with their rookie QB on a cheap deal and retooling?

Lamar took them shyts. He didnt go into either season as the top MVP candidate. I wouldnt say awards are the end all be all in how media feels about a player. You gotta look at the coverage. Lamar got the MVPs but look at how his contract was discussed vs Burrow or even Herbert, despite him having the MVP. Look at how his 0-2 start this was discussed vs Burrow, despite him having 2 MVPs. And even now the convo went right to "Heat is on Lamar" while Burrow got either crickets or capes.

I believe the pressure is and should be on Lamar. I also believe white QBs have been given more room, understanding, pleas, and unearned credit/props. Its two different discussions but he no doubt gotta show up this year. No shame in losing to 90s Bulls but he does have to show up.

I’ve stated before ITT and I do stand by it, that Lamar has had one of the worst supporting offensive weapons of any contender in the NFL for years. Last season I thought he had mildly better options but still not to the level of others

This year he finally has another legit weapon on the outside and has a HOF guy as a running mate

Mahomes had elite weapons

Lamar finally got his and he put together one of the greatest seasons in NFL history.
