Dipset made wayne want to be an "east coast styled" blood.
Wayne made it cool for southerns to be "east coast styled" bloods
The Game made "east coast style west coast nikka" a cool thing.
Also: Rips don't like rips most of the time and it's always been that way. Being a fake blood is easy, just throw on a red t-shirt.

Very much on point. I can see an argument for Pac being somewhat of a precursor to Dipset, he made that Cali gangster/don lifestyle look fly to people that weren't from there.

Pac was calling shots, jet setting, fukking bytches, getting fly, basically doing a lot of rockstar shyt but still repping the Cali gangster lifestyle.

Before him (to the average ignorant NYC nygga), Crips & Bloods were tough nyggas with bad haircuts who wore tacky clothing, hung around a bunch of dudes in the hood all day, and occasionally had to worry about rival gang members driving through shooting at them. People out here were turning Blood in prison, but I don't think that was cool to the average teen.

I was a fan of both Quik and Eiht, but I thought they were both weird, and would never want to hang out with either of them. The gang shyt just seemed like an extra headache that they were forced to live with.

Throughout the whole quik and death row thing...nikkas were already bloods in the first place, it just made them proud.
Being a blood was not "cool" in the 90s. Most of the bloods I knew were girls and lightskinned nikkas from "slightly better than terrible but still garbage" neighborhoods. Crippin was what it was then.

speaking of Game and other bloods.
there was a video of him talking about how he called his so Harlem because Jim Jones picked up from the airport and took him around Harlem collecting drug money..don't even know why but story is comedy to me.

i never noticed Cam on the phone in the background before or someone trying to swipe that bottle of vodka on the sly either.

You must be from Cali because that is so true. Majority of the blood neighborhoods in Los Angeles were blacks with money. Most of the crips hoods were rundown back in the 60s-70s. One main reason why the bloods form was to keep them crips from messing up there neighborhood. And yes bloods were consider more of the pretty boys than crips. But also due to fact they lived in better neighborhood
