What Rappers Would Make Great Politicians?...

I think Jay-Z...Nas, Ice-T and 2 Pac would make great politicians...obviously 2pac in retrospect (R.I.P.)...I wanna know what you think...what rappers would make good as a politician? who would be all lies? who would really try to change shyt?...Remember Nas saying him and Pac doing a "One Nation" album...uniting East and West?...

Edit: Most rappers are politicians...lyin' bout how many bodies they got and whips they ain't never had or drove....I wanna know what rappers could push the political envelope progressively...

I honestly don't see how 2Pac could have been a good politician... he's too honest, emotional, and confrontational. You need to be able to talk circles around people and build at least friendly alliances with people, and you've definitely gotta be able to lie easily and throw your own personal beliefs in the bushes.

I think Loaded Lux would make a good politician because he says a lot of shyt that people don't understand but it sounds good and in interviews he seems to always carry a very positive vibe and speaks well of pretty much everyone, even though he's a battle rapper. Bun B seems to be very political in nature as well. And I actually think Drake would be a tremendous politician with the way he's able to switch from Black to Jewish in an instant.

It's not as easy as saying this guy is smart (because some of these politicians are smart, but we all know that doesn't apply to them all) or lyrical or speaks on "deep topics". A lot of the cats that have been listed would probably be better community organizers than they would be politicians. Now, to the point of my whole statement, I'm talking more on the governor/senator/president level of politics, because if you just wanna go to city councils or county politics, pretty much anybody can win if they can identify with a small audience.

And it never hurts to be of a lighter hue in this country when you wanna win political office.
