what retard decided you need to install a disc before you can play?

i just paid £50 for a disc and i cant play because it freezes on 99% install everytime. why do i habe to install it when i have a disc. what dumbass came up with this idea. im about to go ham on this xbox one if it doesnt install in the next 30 minutes.

ive had an xbox one for like 3 hours and i still havent played a game on it yet. thinking about taking this whole console back and buying 5oz of weed instead cus this is bullshyt.

I told you you made the wrong choice. Installs take FOREVER on the Xbox One but these stans will lie and act like it's fast as hell. That's one area the PS4 is absolutely better at.

Plus on PS4 you can play some games within minutes of putting the disc in.

Because they need to stream assets as quickly as possible and the hard drive makes this easier.

They can even stream assets from the HD and the disc to make more happen at once.

Games as you know em literally pretty much have to do this to achieve what they do.

The issue here is clearly the platform he purchased makes installation such a protracted chore. This issue is pretty nonexistent on PS4. This is irrefutably a Xbox issue.



At least the OP can watch TV while it's doing that.

OP disconnect from the Internet if you want installs to go faster. It's downloading all the updates AND installing the game which makes it slow.

Go into settings and set it to offline mode. Delete the half installed game. Put the disk back in, and you should be playing in minutes.

You cannot be serious. So basically you're telling him to disconnect from the internet to install a game faster?? What about the necessary patches to play the game online and/or to fix things??

The PS4 downloads and installs updates while installing the games quickly.
