Deep and methodical with a powerful message in nearly every track. Also, any track off it could have been a hot single.

Shame it got almost no play and was largely ignored...I wonder why...not really, we know why.

Will NEVER forgive that dikk riding nikka YN for this..

Elliott Wilson probably had the ultimate :jawalrus: look on his face when he posted this..

Album- Watch The Throne (the message behind this album went over a lot of people's heads)

Rapper- Kanye West (longevity isn't going to be a question, he will be around while ur favorite acts of today will come and go a la T.I., Ross, Jeezy, Wayne, Drake, Cam). Dude is a perfectly balanced act

WTT is the last important album in rap for multiple reasons.

1. I'll start with this, while Distant Relatives was an amazing album with a message, how big of an impact did the album have. I don't care how good your message is, if no one hears it then who gives a fukk. Lol it's like that age old question, if a tree falls in the forest does anybody hear it.

2. This is the last good MAINSTREAM album with great balance. You had your introspective tracks as well as your balling tracks. Too many MAINSTREAM albums today lack a message, this becoming throw away material after a year. It's like your hot today, but next year we're over you.

3. The overall theme of the album is Black Excellence. Look at the succes story of Jay Z/Kanye/Oprah/Will Smith. What's stopping other black folks from doing the same.

Dude...Pac is dead. Before Pac left he said that we arent ready for a Black president. His message isnt updated. You cant go foward using out of date information. Pac doesnt have any messages for this current era we are in where we do have a Black president.

I think the Pac line went over your head. He wasn't necessarily saying that there wasn't gonna be a black president soon. I know Nas made it seem that way with the way he flipped the sample on Black President but it was taken out of context. Though I hate speculating on what a dead man would say, if Pac were still around I'm positive that he would still stand by that line even now.

That's why someone like Pac is really missed in today's game because he would have a different perspective from most other rappers and it would reflect in his music. I doubt he would have had the optimistic view that Nas had on Black President. Nas got caught up in the hype like most people and just captured that excitement (which still made a dope track too). Pac would have pointed out that it wouldn't change a thing for the conditions of the people in the ghetto, which is what he was getting at in Changes.

The line still makes a perfectly valid point and is arguably more relevant now than it was then. It's basically proven to be true now. Nas played Pac with that sample like he was wrong about that and acted as if the message is outdated now. Nothing could be further from the truth. Pac stays being misrepresented in the media by everyone including his peers though, it's sad really..

last two important rap songs were:

xzibit : black and brown
styles : i'm black

the last two important emcees were :

slug
eminem

the last important rap album has not been released, and probably never will.

given the climate of the industry.

plus how wack, outdated skillwise, unconvincing and offkey rappers have been, or become in general.
