Good Morning brehs! Take 4 minutes of your busy day to take a look at this video...

I´ll start with one of mine... I am 22 and studying to become an Air Traffic Controller:myman:
I´m missing 2 years to graduate and at the beginning of this year I took the stupid decision to pause school this semester. :snoop:
One week after it started...Guess what?... I wanted to go back!!! :damn:

After watching this video I decided to ask for a meeting with the director of the academy to try and see if I can go back this semester even though I might have to kill myself dealing with the backlog.
Anyways... I´ll keep you guys posted with any answer that I get from them...

Now brehs and brehettes share yours and what u gonna do to take action??:cape:

:queen::queen: Oh and be nice... This is my first thread...

Damn I was already depressed now I see this shyt :mjcry:

Anyway good that you're acting on it to get back to the academy:salute:

  • I regret not telling my dad, when I was 9, about the abuse I was enduring with my mom since I was 4. He died when I was 13. Found out through child support papers 7 months after his death.
  • I'm 21 now, I regret getting married at 18. I just wish I waited some more. I jumped in without thinking of all the emotional and financial shyt I would go through.
  • To get out of my mom house, I ended up graduating high school at 16. Been in college since 17. I regret fooling around my first year, not knowing what major I wanted to be in (changed my major 8 times) and trying to balance having a social life. I could of had my Bachelors right now instead of being another year away from it. Oh, I decided to pursue Bachelors in Information Technology.
I know I have a few more, just can't think of it right now.

Sorry to read about all that, but yeah you're 21, you have A LOT of time ahead of you :salute:

As for me, shyt there are a lot.

- Just "going with the flow" as in since I was good at school, I never really thought about what I wanted to do. Just went to school, got good grades, went home, repeat. This until I got my degree, and had no idea whatsoever what to do with it.

- Believing the bs that says "School is the most important" and sacrificing everything else for it. It wasn't even conscious, being shy and kind of socially awkward I found a refuge in class, but I never pursued any of my passions (mainly basketball and music) outside. I know my "passion" now (writing) is really a substitution passion.

- Somewhat getting away from my Central African roots. For personnal reasons I strayed away (mostly not speaking the language and being mixed, thus sometimes being made fun of on some "You're not a true Central African") and it's now been more than 10 years I haven't been there. Not speaking the language is not something that I decided (I was put in a french school, and everyone spoke french to me) but it will forever irk me.

- Never trying to go back to NY to live (I lived in New Rochelle as a kid).

- I had the opportunity to go live for a couple of months in Lisbon a couple years back, and got cold feet like a month before leaving for some really bs reasons. I think it would've had a big impact on my life.

Do you still wish to do any of these things??

Listen to my family members who told me I was startin to associate myself with the wrong people/crowd when I was younger , they were right but I was blinded by the instant gratification of shyt and didn't foreshadow the long term consequences ..
I can relate to this... :francis:

Houston to LA like I'm Robert Horry.
Not getting my Masters right after my undergrad. In two years I've spent over a third of that time looking for jobs, when I would have been just about done with my Masters by now :francis: . Would be 24 making a lot more money too :francis:

It's alright though, I think I'm getting a GREAT job here soon and on pace to start my Masters Fall 2017 hopefully paid for :blessed:

That may be too personal for most to share.

Yeah I know... Being honest I didn´t write my Biggest regret... I wrote the second or third..
But I think that even though you don´t share it with us if I was able to at least make you think about it and maybe help you start taking action on it or if it´s something that you can´t fix maybe learn from it and use that learning now.

I like the idea! It's humbling and good to look at your faults not always looking at the good things you did and feeling like you're Superman out here, Mr. better than everyone.
