I'm sure Westbrook is more fired up than ever after KD's hoe ass left him for the Warriors. People are saying that he will be gunning for MVP, but he failed to accomplish it, not even as a runner up during Durant's absence.

Here is what he should do in order to for him to be a legit consideration:

Lead his team to 50+ wins - With the right supporting cast, this will be very doable for him.

Be committed on defense -
He is a very capable defender when he wanted to, but he's having a Rondo like effort on that side of the floor. He should take advantage of his insane athleticism for playing D. See how Lebron won his third ring playing D.

Smarter shot selections - Practice more shooting and picking spots where he is most efficient. Stop jacking contested 3's. He ain't no Curry-like in that territory.

Move the damn ball - His stans always like to bring up his assist numbers but fail to mention his assist-to-turnover ratio and usage rate. Learn how to cut to the basket without ball in his hands. It helps Steph and Klay and I'm sure it will also help him.

Trust his teammates - He maybe a superstar but he shouldn't forget that basketball is a team sport. All his crazy stats is useless if it can't lead to a win. Whether it is ball handling duties or shooting in the crunch time, he should learn when to shoot or pass. Lebron wouldn't win back 2013 without Ray Allen's clutch shot. Robert Horry have many historic playoff moments. Fisher and Gasol saved Kobe a couple of times. And let's not forget Iggy won the finals MVP back in 2015.

He needs the Thunder to play great defense behind him. Same support Harden got in '15 and Iverson in '01

With that OKC would be a homecourt seed and he'd be in position to get the award

If the Thunder win 50 games and he decides this season not to shoot more then 1 maybe 2 3's a game if he's got if going then I could see him winning the scoring and assist title and I don't think they could deny him if he did that. An average of like 29 10 and 7 with good percentages would be enough for him to get it to me. And I may be shortchanging Russy cause he may say fukk the assists since Victor is a decent playmaker and try to average 40 this season.

I think that's a good list. 50+ wins on good percentages is enough...but the other stuff you say is what it will take for him to make that happen.

I don't think he'll do it though. :yeshrug: Thunder winning 47 games and Sabo shooting 42%.
