if they define a trans as anyone who says he's a woman, then the man you describe as "pretending" to be a woman is by their definition trans
when women protest this self-identity stuff they are met with gaslighting, told no predator would ever pretend to be trans & that their fears promote violence towards trans people. so no, it's not fair to now try to step back and say this guy was pretending. he fits the definition they set
I don't know about all that bruh I'm speaking purely from my own lens, not what you're describing.
To me you can't define trans specifically as that from where I sit. Much more nuanced than that. There will be people that bullshyt or lie and try to take advantage of those fearful of being seen as transphobic. There are people that will be disingenuous just to try to get over. And there are people that genuinely believe it, feel it and live their life accordingly. fukked up to lump them all together as the same to me. But without visual or insight into their intentions I ultimately can't tell and wouldn't be able to say either way.
Ultimately I maintain the difference between someone coming in with the intention of being sexually explicit and the intention of simply trying to exist in the space, which is the answer to the question I believe I was asked.
Is what it is. People are exhausting. I wish trans folks would just leave it at being trans, stop trying to be one or the other, and we can just have a 3rd space so everyone would shut the fukk up about all this.
