What should I add to this beat?

Whats good my nikkaz....Kind of stuck wit this beat i'm working on...right now its just a four bar loop wit drums....Kind of stuck on it I dont kno what else to add to it...the beat is a sample but all the other parts in the song I sampled from contain vocals on it and lately ive been trying to stay away from using vocals

1.loop and drum pattern are ok....but the snare and the kick are ass....layer and play new ones
2.replay the bass over sample (moog, slap, or synth)
3.add a drum fill every 4 bars
4.scratch or add hip hop vocal sample (ie. like a Primo or JB)

4. That's not a bad idea....I never tried that before

about the drums and snares I added anything cuz I made this joint pretty quick when i was drinking one night...heard it again the next day and realized this shyt has potential

1.If possible, slow the tempo a bit.
2.Redo the bass.
3.Repeat the first bar 3 times then on the fourth finish with the second. Like AAAB AAAB ABAB pattern.

1. Naw, the tempos to fast. Just nod your head to the beat. I think you need some time stretching.

2. Use a filter to take some of it out. The real problem with the bass is that it is in unison with the melody, so it loses flavor. If you redo the bass you can add a better groove to the beat.

breaking and rearranging the drum pattern with a using same drums or kit

I really like the sample and think you could have something out of this

and the percussion pattern isn't even that bad, it's just that the snare is weaksauce
