This resonates because, long story short, last year my brother and his gf ran into a similar situation.
Breh got the landlord to request the tape to be pulled and he found out of his neighbors had stolen it off the doorstep.
Dude calmly went over and told him he had two choices.
Option A, hand over the package and simply stay the hell off of his doorstep and eyesight.
Option B, deny having the package which in turn would mean the law was called and the video shown to them, a path dude really didn't want because he already had a history.
Needless to say, he gave it back.
The guy was pretty big and a lot older than my brother (used to play Football for Troy back in '03 or so) but when someone blatantly disrespects you like that, you have to rectify it and nip it in the bud.
Definitely don't go fishing for conflict, but some things you can't let go because if they get away with it once, they'll continue to believe they're immune or they'll assume they have dominance over your domain and person.
