What Should The Texans do with the #1 Pick???

I'm taking the DE who just ran a 4.46 and has a longer wingspan than JJ Watt. He's the best player in the draft, hands down. And pair him the white boy on the other side?

There's a lot of QB prospects coming out in the next 2 drafts or so. Only 1 Jadaveon Clowney.

I think Manziel will be a bust. Safe choice would be Clowney. Texans aren't in that dire of a need of a QB. Keenum and/or Schaub can be serviceable for now. If they absolutely must take a QB, I'd take Bridgewater over Bortles and Manziel 10 times outta 10.

They better take Texas born and bred, already media/fan hype machine supported Johnny Football.


They play in a dome 9 times a year already (Houston has a dome and then the 1 game against Indianapolis on the road) and 1 game on the road against Jacksonville in Florida.....meaning no really bad weather. 11 games out of 16 were he doesnt have to worry about the weather at all and if they play Tennesse AT Tennessee before December, that's another good weather game, so that brings us up to at LEAST 12 games in good/great weather conditions


His arm strength wont really be an issue if he was drafted by Houston

i just don't see IT in bridgewater or manziel to warrant a number 1 overall pick . in terms of potential clowney has the most so it's going to be interesting.

but if they're going with a qb i'd go bridgewater. i don't think manziel's skillset will translate well to the nfl.

If they want to win: Take Clowney, sign a vet and draft a QB in the later rounds.

If they want hype/the big story: Take Manziel.

If they want to win now, or win period, a beastly defense (Clowney and Watt together up front ) and running game will take them much farther than any QB they may draft.

i still think schaub can be a starter for us until we get another qb. he had his struggles but the problems with the texans was deeper than him and we saw it when they put a new qb out there.

the problem is this fanbase will not take another season of schaub.not to mention mcnair doesn't like him either. he will be in complete hell all year if he continues to be a starter especially when he starts throwing picks and settling for field goals.
