IF they could have kept Nitro running and actually had them going back and forth in a war instead of just "oh there here now".

Yeah and having some guys have "road" matches would have been cool. Home and away series and shyt.

Jericho and Big Show should have sided with WCW also, Austin I could see being WCW/Alliance because he wrestled there, but that was rarely, if at all, brought up as an angle. Segue, Kurt Angle should have been WWF the whole time.

They should've had Bischoff or the talent themselves lead the invasion instead of having Shane represent them reducing it to yet another McMahon family storyline.

Also brought in more top talent from the start. That includes Sting if he wasn't too much of a coward to step up and prove his worth instead of running to TNA because he wasn't confident enough in his own talent to be successful in WWE.

They could've saved Goldberg as a trump card for later on and started with Bischoff as a tweener going to war with Vince and having Sting/Nash/DDP/Booker T/Flair as his main guys. Then bring in Goldberg later on to even up the sides more.

IMO you'd have to bring in Steiner separately because his character working with others or for WCW at the time wouldn't be possible.

If you haven't watched Vince Russo's guest booker, i liked the way he would've mapped out the Invasion angle because for about a month and a half...all he used was Hall, Nash and Hogan. The dude from KC wanted him to start using newer guys every week and Russo said "why are you so quick to shell out more cash? Why waste more money on guys thats not needed....yet"

He made Hogan look like a boss though, have Nash and Hall jump people and he'll just stand there and watch..not cut a promo or anything.

i'm rewatching his guest booker, i'll try to better explain how he layed out the invasion.

sidebar: Vince started the angle too early, he was going to restart WCW, but that Bagwell/Booker T match happened in Washington state, when the next week, Raw was gonna be in ATL. That match would've easily gotten over there

Russos: Invasion rebooked

Hogan, Hall, Nash....no matter what are required, without them he wouldn't want to write the angle.

Goldberg, Booker T, Flair, and Sting....have to be apart of it.

Title are not important, being based on reality, the titles makes the story fake.

1st week of tv: WCW is closed down, a definite explanation of why WCW is going out of business [the legit reason] don't involve Vince. Have it seem like a documentary rather than it looking like the start of a storyline. Pay tribute to the history of WCW.

2nd week of tv: No mention of WCW, WWF is going on business as usual same storylines. The viewer isn't aware of the contracts being in limbo...so with that being said. Scott Hall comes through the crowd, wanting his job back apologizing. [This is Russo, using Vince's ego against him, because Vince would love to see this because of how pissed Vince was when Hall left for WCW] Vince McMahon comes out and shoots a vicious promo against Hall [Hall staying in character and not saying anything] Hall tells him he's coming back next week...but not alone]

3rd week of tv: Nash returns with Hall, again. Vince comes out [by himself] shoots another vicious promo against the 2. [Now the viewer is safe to assume, Hogan is gonna return the following week]

4th week of tv: Hogan, Nash and Hall show up to tv [these guys shows up as themselves, no nWo shirts] Throughout all of these weeks, Vince isn't interested in hiring them. Hogan, Nash and Hall, letting Vince know this is all they know makes promos about who they were before they were stars. Hogan thanks Vince for giving him the opportunity blah blah blah. Vince again another scathing promo. Hulk Hogan lets Vince knows how he really feels about him planting the seeds of the nWo coming back. [they exit the arena]

[2 weeks pass with out them showing up, WWF goes back to business as usual, at this point you can't avoid turning it into a wrestling angle]

5th week of tv: [Kurt Angle attacked] have them showed in the backstage area beaten and bloodied. [The attack isn't actually shown]

6th week of tv: Whomever had the title at the time Kurt is accusing them [Russo wasn't aware of who had the title at the time, so he couldn't put a name to it so he just names The Rock]. During this week of tv, Stone Cold is attacked in the same manner.

7th week of tv: The Rock is attacked backstage [again the attack isn't shown] but he's selling the attack and when he rolls over holding his head... you see nWo is spray painted on his back. [Now Vince begins 2nd guessing his promo against the nWo. Russo is booking this business as usual, no WCW talent is hired yet because the idea is that Vince is refusing to sign them, thus building the frustration]

8th week of tv: Vince is cutting a promo against the nWo, saying he will have them arrested, suing them if they interfere with his company. Then the titantron turns to static, nWo has a black and white promo..letting Vince know they don't want a job anymore, but they aren't going anywhere, they're gonna make his life a living hell and at Summerslam they're going to personally take out someone near and dear to his heart.

Summerslam: nWo takes out Shane McMahon, throughout the show the attack is teased. Vince is surrounded by security, Shane is throughout the showing he's not scared, he won't be threatened. He comes to the ring with a steel pipe comes down to the ring, cuts a promo telling them to bring it. nWo come through the crowd and beat him down, the locker room storms down to the ring and the nWo leaves through the crowd. [During this attack, Hulk Hogan is just watching, not saying anything, not showing any emotion]

10th week of tv: Vince is ready to fight the nWo, throughout the show Vince is calling them out. He started it, he's gonna finish it. He doesn't want the talent to help him anyone who tries to help will be fired on the spot. [A limo shows up, you see feet walking] Last segment of the night, Vince is calling them out. Vince looks through the crowd, and see's

with a smug look on his face.....tv fades out [This has officially built up to the 1st time in history the Eric Bischoff/Vince McMahon showoff]

11th week of tv: Vince comes out, promo against Eric Bischoff calling him out. Eric Bischoff shows up he has nothing to do with this, he couldn't possibly have anything to do with it because he doesn't have a job. But if Vince gives him a job, he'll get rid of Vince's problem personally.

12 week of tv: Vince presents Eric Bischoff his WWF contract. Tells him he has 2 months to get rid of the nWo or the contract is null and void. [Now realize no one in the WWE trusts Bischoff, because naturally he's the enemy. So he can't go to them for help against the nWo...so he starts bringing in former WCW talent, week after week [the guys i noted earlier]

Jumping ahead, This of course has to lead to a match. Vince letting the WCW guys earn their contract. Throughout the weeks Bischoff is assembling his WCW team [Booker T being the 1st, have him talking about how the nWo wasn't liked in the locker room so he's willing to help blah blah.]

Next week Bischoff brings in Flair

The week after that Sting

The week after that he brings in Goldberg

[the nWo is still kept off tv, but the attacks happen sporadically to keep the story alive, but it's completely separate from Bischoff's team. Of course everyone under the WCW moniker is in on Bischoff's plan to turn on Vince, but this isn't known yet]

Eventually nWo accepts Bischoff's challenge.

The nWo wins against Bischoff's team, so now because they're a bigger threat and earn WWF contracts. The WWF top guys, choose to get involved and take out the nWo themselves.

now there's a match between the nWo vs Austin, Rock, Sting, Goldberg..During the match, Goldberg and Sting turns on Austin and Rock. [Goldberg attacks Austin, Sting attacks Rock] Now Bischoff comes out with Booker T and Flair and does the big reveal about how he screwed Vince

He says if this was only for a year this would've ended at Wrestlemania [but because of McMahon's ego, WWF would've won]

Vince vs Bischoff happens here at the end, Vince cuts a promo saying he's officially proven he's the best then

Heyman shows up through the crowd....Thus starting the ECW invasion and a whole nother year of storylines :ohlawd:

shouldnt have even bothered with wcw jobbers and most of the ecw guys. lance fukkin storm? i mean he had a bit of a push but no one took him seriously in wcw. should have paid the big contracts then brought in a couple of the better technical guys and thrown everyone else to the bushes

you are really showing you did not watch wcw at all.
let alone ecw,..if you think lance storm was not a big deal in wcw.
just say you did not know the product.
then, you were hoping the wwe would hold up their end of the bargain.
to get over the background and intentions of the invading talent.
of which, wwf failed at like they typically always do.

Half way through reading this and it's having me like :ohhh:...I wouldn't have mind if they would have did that THAT way..

That shyt would have been compelling television...

this company is inept, breh.

just as an example.
the higher power was a rehash of sting's black scorpion with a christan cross x hanging of scsa.
to show how utterly inept vkm, is.
how do you book scsa in the one angle.
that ruined your competition and sting's original bf run with the title.

just complete idiocy.

look no further than vkm,...
putting Daniel bryan in the Michael myers suit.
the same type of suit, he buried taz in.
again,..this company and its owners are just silver spoonfed white privilege village idiots.
even vkm sr, said his son was inept.

if not for rocky, and flair's protégé....
this company would be awa status.
