Fool was mad cause his dad had to tell him to stop shooting everything lol. He killed a target version of Laura and everything :mjlol:

They really treated that moment like it was a wholesome sitcom learning moment. Nah, Eddie should’ve lost his gun and badge for good that day lol.

"Yeah. You just killed your sister." :dead:

Everything about this is unintentionally hilarious.

What happened behind the scenes :lupe:
The creator of the show was accused of sexual conduct, which Bush and the other female leads corroborated. It was also the drama of Bush and Murray marrying and divorcing and them supposedly used it as part of storylines.

Getting rid of Flex and Duane was a stupid decision. They carried half the show. Hell, I'd say the show was 70% them and 30% Briana as far as enjoyment went for me.

Family Matters is another one. The biggest problem with that show and graduation is that they obviously didn't plan for any of it. They had to destroy characters in order to keep the cast together. Urkel missed the Winslow family so much that he left his Ivy League school in order to go to Community College with the others. He'd been wanting to go to that school his whole life and it was brought up multiple times. This is the main reason I say that Steve wasn't written like he was in love with Laura towards the end of the show. He was in love with the Winslow Family dynamic. He wanted to be a member of that family since he never had a good family life. Carl was the father he never had. Eddie was the brother he never had. Estelle was the granny he never had. Harriet was the mother he never had. Richie was the little brother who looked up to him he never had. The show dropped the ball with that.

Myra was so obsessed with Steve and a genius in her own right but to keep the cast together, they had to put her in community college instead of a high quality school. They didn't even bother having her go to school with Steve for an episode and then transfer back when he did. Because that would interfere with his Winslow lust.

Laura was hurt the most. She was driven and focused through the early parts of the show. She wanted to go to Harvard for a very long time. It was brought up insanely early. She wanted to be a lawyer. She got into Harvard. But because they didn't want to split the cast up, she didn't get a scholarship and her family couldn't afford to send her to school. So now she's at community college with everyone else. She never recovered. She never gained her fire again. She just became a love interest for Steve, Stefan and Curtis. Laura stopped existing as a character and just became an interchangeable love interest. She had no autonomy of her own anymore.

Eddie was the only character that graduated and came off better for it and even that only happened at the very end of the show. He had to drop out of college in order to get a good ending when he became a cop. Everyone else was treated like shyt after High School.
I just binged the whole series and it really did break so many stereotypes just to end up with everyone doing mediocre hood stuff with their lives.

I feel like by the fourth season of One on One, they had perfect chemistry, like they could finish each other's sentences. All of them were entertaining in their own way and they could all carry an episode. Even the side characters were great. They took all that away for nothing.

You know what this post made me realize? I have no memory of the Family Matters characters ever going to college, or even graduating. I feel like whenever I watch the later episodes, they're just sitting at home getting blasted by Steve's shrink ray or waiting for Myra to come over. There was no mention of college, no jobs. They really just had all this free time on their hands and I never questioned why until I saw your post. :mjlol:
