Ive been really lazy with download and transfering files to my phone so now I just use Spotify for albums, Soundcloud for a specific track if its not on Spotify, and 8tracks for playlist that contain music not from America.
I believe you have to d/l the songs individually. Can u download whole albums from grooveshark?
The app that I mentioned above can download full albumsDamn. Nothing like good ole torrentz then.
NetEase Cloud Music. The Chinese equivalent of Spotify or Google Play Android Music All Access Unlimited Pro, only better. Well, actually UI is only OK, is in Chinese with no English option, and their servers are not as fast as Spotify's, but it's still better for me because:
Their normal website is just as robust and usable, too. Plus, since it's a website, you can Google Translate it to see which button is what.
- Completely free.
- Every button has an icon so it not being in English doesn't impede much
- Has all the syncing and playlist features others have, if you can manage to sign up for the service (which only took me about 20 minutes to figure out how, thanks to Google Translate).
- You can still use it even if you don't sign up. You just won't have the sync.
- Has a much more expansive catalogue than any other, probably because they don't care about no copyrights. I suspect it has every single song ever made available (not really, but close).
- When you tell it to download a song, it downloads it alright. As an mp3 file.
- If, like me, you're into Japanese or other Eastern Asian pop/enka/classical/anime music, it's an indispensable source. Spotify has only one album, a "best of", from Hibari Misora for instance, and all the song titles in it are wrong.
Quick tutorial for registering: There are 3 log-in options for the service, Phone Number, Sina Weibo, and NetEase. You should register for NetEase, with the red, jellyfish-like kanji logo. Go to this registration page. First box is for your email, 2nd for password, 3rd for same password, 4th for captcha. They send a verification mail to your address, you click it and that's it. Whenlogging in, you use your email address. The first time you enter, a popup asks you to choose a nickname.
Use the Google Translate plugin on Chrome to be sure about the steps.
