Or the Warriors will just match whatever offer he gets. They're gonna have plenty of room under the cap because of Curry's bargain contract.

I'm assuming they will have to leave space for Curry since he's obviously going to ask for the max and rightfully so. I'm surprised that he hasn't tried to renegotiate a new deal with the way he's been playing.

Can't do that in the NBA.

Yeah I figured that. His contract will be up in a few years and the Warriors will max him. His low salary has played a key role in the Warriors being able to get and keep their high quality role players.

He's not really a slasher. He should be but he isn't - he averages about 2 free throws a game for his career

Unlike Dray, I feel Barnes is pretty replaceable. He's great to have on a loaded team like the dubs, but not sure if he's worth big money at other places.

The Warriors' Small Ball Unit chases down, contorts, and conquers the Clippers: When they go little, they're close to unbeatable - Talking Points

.....midway through the fourth Luke Walton finally unleashed his Small Line-up–Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes, Andre Iguodala, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry–they hit the accelerator and goodbye, Clippers.

Remarkable game, remarkable Warriors effort, remarkable final 5:41 at Staples Center, all to get them to 13-0.

I wasn’t there, but some general thoughts…

* Barnes is worth $18-20M a season, because everybody in this five-man unit is worth $18-20M.

Or more.

Barnes will hit restricted free-agency this summer, somebody will offer him more than $20M per, and if the Warriors can’t make another move for a small forward (initials: KD), they will probably be OK paying Barnes all that money.

It’s market rate. It’s part of the inflating salary cap.

He's done nothing in his career to warrant that type of money, but I'm sure he'll get it.

It's a mediocre FA class and because of the TV deal kicking in there's gonna be a lot of teams with money to blow.

A team like the Nets seems likely. They're desperate, they have the cap space and they have nothing to lose

If the Warriors offer anything close to the max, he's staying with them. You can tell that team loves winning and playing together.
I dont think so. If he did he would've taken that $16 Mill.

I think (and hope) he wants to branch off and make something more than a role player of himself because he has the potential. It's a Joe Johnson - Pheonix situation.
