I think the digital age stands out the most, in my life. Going from cassettes to CDs and VHS to DVD, specifically.
My first taste was getting a CD player, like most. shyt was a $120 Koss boombox, and that shyt was my high school baby. I made MAD mixtapes off of CDs, sold them to friends all the time. I just thought it was dope as fukk to be able to skip songs like that, without having to pinpoint on a cassette.
Skipping was a problem back then, tho
DVDs, tho, nikkas. We AENO how bad we had it rewinding, struggle tracking for a clear picture, mad porno hiding. DVDs dropped and life was never the same for me. My first player was my PS2, and along with new gaming, DVDs just crushed all my gotdamn buildings
MP3s might be the undisputed king that changed it all, but my mind was already prepared for what gracious fukkery the techno gods were preparing for us
