Wealth implies it's generational and/or being invested. When you're wealthy you are likely in a position to affect a market, thus defining how much your riches are really worth. The difference is control. Imo.

I always figured that being rich meant just having a lot of money and having wealth was having a lot of money and a lot of assets that generate money, so that your money is constantly making you more money.
