Well I think Venezuela is relatively close as far as state collapse goes...obviously there are key differences and they aren't directly comparable
Venezuelan displaced/refugees/diaspora are now in the 4 million range I think that's inline with Somalias numbers possible even surpassing them.
I think it's a mixed bag for the GOP honestly, they love the workers and they love trashing "socialist" governments and at the same time they get to terrorize brown people and the GOP base. It's not very cut and dry.
