I don’t even post on *****:mjlol: or twitter :mjlol: or support alt right movements :mjlol:

I just asked the question so I can shyt on Trump and the market :mjlol: of corse a useless poster who just follows what everyone else says comes along tries to tell me something .

I tried to tell all you fakkkits this was Trumps economy when the market was booming , but y’all kept saying it was Obamas.

You guys are so pathetic you just say anything and cheer when the market slips or the jobs numbers aren’t good . That’s what REAL alt right people did to Obama and you guys picked up where they left off:mjlol:

The stock market and the economy are not the same thing.
Repeat that to yourself.

Higher interest rates are not good for financials. Higher interest rates mean more loans go into default, and lower prices for the assets collateralizing the debt. They also mean lower loan volume. Higher rates will crush bank profits.

The era of cheap money is done

We should have rebuilt infrastructure and done demand side policies on a grander scale in the last decade
The market would disagree with you on your first point, as bank stocks rally in an environment of rising interest rates due to boosted Net Interest Margins. Obviously, at the end of a credit cycle, depending on the asset quality of a bank's balance sheet, some might suffer in a rising default environment, but to say higher rates is bad for financials as a blanket statement is simply not true.

On the second point, I would hold off on saying that, as we are still in an easing environment globally. The ECB and BoJ are still adding a ton of liquidity to global markets and the Fed's balance sheet runoff is happening at a snail's pace right now. We are in a state of global growth right now, so the fear is that easy money will be cut off, but if there is any shock to the global economy, central banks will be forced to reverse and begin to ease again.

Agree on the last, but party over country congressmen would rather sell out the country than grant a black man a major political win.

Let’s talk facts

I never mentioned any alt right hivemind slogan . I’ve been saying this was Trumps economy since the day he became president . The entire board has been telling me everything is because of Obama .From the black unemployment to market gains everyone has said its Obama’s doing not Trumps .

You guys gotta get your story’s straight. Either y’all gone say it’s Obamas or Trumps economy .

I been saying it’s Trumps economy since day 1 . You guys have been telling me it’s Obamas
These sure do sound like right wing talking points.

It takes about a year of so for the new presidents policies to take effect.

This is the same bullshyt y'all pulled when y'all blamed the 2008 recession on obama.

This is a correction from what? The economy was good before? Was that as good as it could get?

like @wickedsm stated the stock market isn't the economy. Its speculation or based on current economic news. However, the stock market can't tell you that big corporation A is being mismanaged or failing in the year 2017 and are going to drop some news about under-performing targets in the beginning of 2018. The stock market doesn't tell you anything about whether wages are stagnating for most people and sometimes there is an inverse relationship between wealth inequality and the rising stock market. That isn't really a "good economy" for most people. Most people only feel the effect of the stock market from their retirement account and most people in the US don't even have that.

But, certain posters and the president love to play partisan games and claim credit for this so I've personally made it a mission to not even be level headed when responding to them and play the partisan game along with them. If they want to say Trump is responsible for the stock market when its good then let them also take responsibility for the bad. Its only fair.

the word correction is in relation to the market and yes the market has been great. e.g., if you invested in february/march 2009 you would have been riding a wave unlike any seen before.

One of the components is they are correcting because real wages has gone up for everyone. The 1% want that money back.
